How to Brew : Aeropress

Put wetted filter into filter cap, twist filter cap onto chamber and stand chamber on sturdy cup

Put one rounded scoop (~16g) of finely ground coffee into the chamber

Add water (30s off the boil) to marker 1 and stir for 10 seconds.

For espresso style coffee - insert plunger and apply even pressure. Pause when you feel resistance, then continue pressing until the plunger reaches the grounds. Remove filter cap, push plunger to eject used coffee, and rinse seal. Enjoy!

For a longer pour - top water up to marker 3, insert plunger just enough to prevent drip through, leave to brew for 2 minutes. Apply even pressure, pause when you feel resistance, then continue pressing until the plunger reaches the grounds. Remove filter cap, push plunger to eject used coffee, and rinse seal. Enjoy!

If your coffee is not quite tasting right, the variables you can change are:

Grind size - A finer grind results in a higher extraction and strength.

Coffee to water ratio - Too much coffee results in a higher extraction and strength, the coffee may taste too strong and sour. Insufficient coffee results in a lower extraction and more dilute brew, the coffee may taste weak and bitter.

**Recommended roast: Grouse Grind
